Questions Before You Recycle?

You can send a wide range of electronics through our recycling program. This includes cell phones like the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones (such as Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices). We also accept tablets like the Apple iPad, Microsoft Surface, and Android tablets. Additionally, eReaders such as the Amazon Kindle are permitted as well.

Do not include original boxes, instruction manuals, computers, landline phones, printers, ink cartridges or cable boxes. Visit Earth911.com to recycle these or any other type of electronics.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with the data erasure process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

We understand that there may be situations where you are unable to erase the data from your cell phone before donating it. Rest assured, we still accept cell phones in their original state.

At Big Sky Recycling, we prioritize data security and take steps to ensure that all recycled cell phones undergo thorough data destruction processes. Even if you are unable to erase your phone, our dedicated team follows strict protocols to safeguard your personal information. More about our data security policy can be found here.

Yes, you can include the batteries with your cell phones. Please leave the batteries installed in the cell phones when packaging them for shipment.

Cell phones are designed to keep batteries grounded when attached, so it’s important not to disconnect or remove the batteries before sending them to us.

Do not ship individual or damaged batteries (for example, a battery that is punctured, leaking or too hot to touch). Go to https://www.call2recycle.org or call 877-723-1297 to find a local drop off location.

Absolutely! We believe in giving our donors the opportunity to make a personal choice in supporting a charity that resonates with them.
